It really is up to the individual whether it is wonderful or not. To you and certain other people it may be, to others it isn't. You must understand this. I, as an irreligious person, understand some people are happier with religion, some of those religions have a god, some don't. And there are people who despair in a god and/or religion. I have had a moment in my teenage years when I became religious (abrahamic) I was so unhappy that my defence mechanisms (that are protections of the human, formed by Nature) ended up kicking that god out of my mind, because it was doing me harm. That is me personally. If you like your god keep on dedicating to him/her, just make sure it doesn't make you hurt people.
